A bit of a deception for me, I was expecting something more Italian in its curves...

Looks like a normal miata for me..
Or maybe it has alfa's engine?
If that so, well...

It's just too early to see a final product in the wild. Must be a test mule.
Let's keep our hopes high.

The most telling bit is the extended front end. Looks like the car is going from it's old stubbyness to Z4 or S2000 long nose / short deck proportions.

Third brake light is what I'd say.

It should simply be named Mazda MX-5 and Alfa Romeo Miata. It's strangely fitting even if you don't change it.

They just used the NC panels to cover up the new body, if any. They could just be testing the engine and stuff. A test mule as mentioned previously.
2016 is a long time away.

more likely, but I like to think it's a cute little spoiler. For the funs.

It's probably got a different engine. A facebook friend of mine works for Chrysler/Fiat doing engine tuning or something of that nature, he drives test cars around. He used to post pictures all the time, I think he got wise and stopped doing it, but before he did he was chasing this one (or similar) around in an Abarth.

I heard that they use the nc panels to disguise the car.
